Our knife crafting process starts with one question: what is this knife built to do? That purpose guides everything that follows — from the steel we choose to the heat treatment we use. Whether small-batch produced or handcrafted, every knife is made to cut and built to use.

The foundation of our designs comes from the Hmong knife—a tried-and-true blade used for generations as an all-purpose, “jack-of-all-trades” survival tool in the hills and mountains of Southeast Asia.

That same practical design and function carried into the Vietnam War, where Hmong fighters, along with American soldiers and pilots, carried the Hmong knife as part of their tactical and survival gear.

Our name, VIIKINGS, carries a double meaning: Vikings and VII Kings — Seven Kings, representing the seven brothers behind our roots. Like the Vikings of old, we’re drawn to the outdoors — to adventure, exploration, good food, and the experiences that come from gathering around a fire after a long day outside.
